Busy Busy Busy

Hello!
Is there anyone still here?
I have been silent for so long, I know... I have been with so much work this last few months you can't imagine. Even now, I should be finishing a report, but I just came back from a 2 week vacation, and I though a few minutes to say hello to you won't make much of a difference.

So... I have been traveling this past few months! I went to Athens for a meeting in June, and last month to Chipindo in Angola (Africa) for geologist field work.

I loved both experiences. The greek are super nice and I loved Athens! It wasn't what I was expecting... but I loved it!

 

 

Then, a month later, I got to go to Chipindo (Huila Province in Angola) for geological field work.

I have to say it was the best experience ever. Everyone was so nice, friendly and always laughing. I was so lucky to have a very professional team from Angola, and when the work is going well and nobody gets hurt, and in top of that you get to work with amazing people that make you laugh until there's tears in your eyes.... What more can you ask?

There's some photos for you! Didn't see any wild animals, but there were aligators, snakes and deers there.

Better Photos - Using a Live Model

This is a continuation for the last post I wrote on this subject.

Smells like Spring already

Although last week we had a little bit of rain, it was the only rain Portugal had this year, so far.
It has been sunny and warm, today it just smells like Spring!
(I know we need the rain, and I hope it rains soon... but I'm just having the best of it)

To celebrate it, the multicolored bead soup bracelet is back on the shop!

Organic *

I've been creating new things lately.
I start to notice that I'm going trough a clean, organic phase with my work.
It must be because I feel so peaceful.

Comecei a reparar que ultimamente tenho andado numa fase mais leve, limpa e orgânica.
Deve ser por me andar a sentir tão em paz ultimamente.

O sol hoje espreitou por entre as nuvens, mas a minha boa disposição nem por isso (têm sido dias complicados).

I started writing a quite depressing post today.
The sun decided to appear behind all those clouds (and rain) we've been having lately, but not my good mood (last couple of months have been hard on me).
But, instead of leaving you with self pity, I decided to show off my latest colorful creations!
An ode to joy, to happiness, to color!
Because no one has the patience for others problems, right?

After a while, I get really tired of seeing around the jewelry that doesn't sell.
Last year I got the idea to "upcycle" the things I made that didn't sell and that I get tired of seeing on my shop.

Algum tempo depois de ter feito as peças, se não vendem, começo a ficar cansada de as ver. O ano passado tive a ideia de "reciclar" as peças que já cá andavam há algum tempo, e desde então é isso que vou fazendo passado alguns meses de as ter por perto.
